Military trials are a joke.
All criminals deserve to be tried in a civilian federal court instead. I really do not see why we cannot have a civilian trial it IS 2016 after all. A military tribunal is substandard and just does not cut it, I'm afraid. These five criminals are NOT getting a "fair" trial either. And no a military tribunal does NOT "make sense". Gitmo should be permanently shut down and the five guys immediately tried in a federal court. What those idiotic members of Congress do not realise is that military tribunals have a SHOCKING track record. Shame on them.
I believe Congress has made a BAD mistake. Our federal courts have managed to deal with these losers quickly and effectively. However Eric Holder should NEVER have publicly said where the trial was going to be held either. Part of it all is his fault but he is not to blame entirely.
I dont want the death penalty either, what good will that do?! Life in prison sounds much better to me. Eddie Bracken believes the military trials are a "sensible" option but he is sadly mistaken, since they are not.
